Guge Kingdom was founded by the descendants of Tobo Dynasty before the 10th century. Kingdom has the history over 700 years. The Site of Guge Kingdom is located in western Ngari Prefecture. The ancient Guge Kingdom were placed up on the mountain slope. On the mountain, there are golden Relics of palaces, caves, monasteries and houses, which witness the prosperity and decay of an ancient kingdom.

Besides its historical significance, the Site of Guge Kingdom is also a great attraction to enjoy the barren landscape of nature and admire the lost civilization.

Visa/Permit Processing

  • Bhutan visa/Permit is pre-process by our company we need to have your passport copy by scan on our e-mail. We will send you electronic visa on your mail. You need to print and carry to fly to Bhutan. At immigration authorities will stamp on your passport.
  • Your passport must be valid more than 6 months at the time of travel in Bhutan

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival in Katmandu. Company representative will receive you at the
Airport and take you to hotel.
Day 2 :
Sightseeing in Kathmandu
This day will be half day tour around historical palaces around Kathmandu. We will process the visa formalities in order to get ready for departure for next day.
Day 3 :
Kathmandu-Nepalgunj
Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj airport. Overnight stay at hotel in Nepalgunj.
Day 4 :
Nepalgunj-Simikot/Majgaun
Land at Simikot airport from Nepalgunj. Trek starts until reaching at Majgaon, locally known as Tuling. The walking duration will be approximately 4/5 hours.
Day 5 :
Majgaon/Kermi
Trekking starts from Dharapani after breakfast. As indicated above after 6/7hrs walking, we will reach at the second night camping Kermi. Trekking will be about 6/7hrs.
Day 6 :
Kermi/Yalbang Chaur
We continue to walk from Kermi through a valley with potato and wheat fields. We reach the bank of the Chumsa Khola and start climbing up the very steep and rocky route. After descending to the bank of Karnali River, and after short walk we will reach at Yalbang Chaur. Trekking will be of 6/7 hrs.
Day 7 :
Yalbang Chaur/Tumkot Khola
We shall ascend at the altitude of 2,890m. We go walking until the trail reach another camping spot Tumkot Khola. Trekking ill about 6/7 hrs.
Day 8 :
Tumkot Khola/Yari
Yellowish mustard fields could be observed walking through the forest until we will reach at a great Jhyakthang Chu Valley. The day ends at Yari. Police Station is located here for the security of the trekkers. Trekking will be about 5/6 hrs.
Day 9 :
Yari/Hilsa/Sher
The route descends to Ranipuwa. Then continue to walk that will last reaching Hilsa. A stone pillar is placed signifying Nepal/Tibet border. After a short walk we will reach Sher. Treeking will be of 7/8 hrs.
Day 10 :
Sher /Taklakot
On the way we will see Kocher Monastery, famous prominent Sakya Monastery built in the 6th century. We will be staying night at Taklakot Guest House.
Day 11 :
Taklakot /Lake Manasarovar
Day starts by driving towards the Lake Mansarovar . Here we also can see other lakes as well. The night will be unlike other because camp will be set at a breathtaking base of the Chiu Gompa. The day will be 4/5 hrs drive.
Day 12 :
Lake Mansarovar/Tirthapuri
Drive to Tirhapuri will be another thrilling experience as we can see the yak herds and sheep flocking nomads wandering around. Drive will be 4/5hrs.
Day 13 :
Tirthapuri
'Tirthapuri is the holy place for Hindu as it is considered power palce of Hindu Goddess Parvati, the wife of Lord Shiva. The place is also regarded as the power place for the Goddess Bajra Barahi and Tara to the Buddhist. The hot spring here is the main holy site for the pilgrims.
Day 14 :
Sightseeing Tirthapuri
Drive to Tsaparang Gompa early Morning. Sightseeing continues till afternoon to explore Khochar and Tabo monasteries surroundings of Toling. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 15 :
Toling Gompa
Toling is a remote area but makes remarkable tour. Two main monasteries Khochar and Tabo were built by a renowned king Yeshe O in 996 AD. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 16 :
Toling Gompa/Tsada
Drive to Tsada, fortress on the mountaintop and drive back to overnight stay at Tsada.
Day 17 :
Tsada/Darchen
Drive to Tarboche . Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 18 :
Darchen/Dirapuk:
Short drive from Darchen starts and ends at Tarpuche. The point where hiking starts for an encirclement of Holy Mount Kailash. Overnight stay at Dirapuk.
Day 19 :
Dirapuk/Zutulpuk Monastery
Day will be the hardest one as we have to pass by crossing of rocky trails that ascends to Dolma~La Pass. Before crossing this pass we come across another important holy place known as Gauri Kunda. Trekking will be 6/7 hrs.
Day 20 :
Zutulphuk/Darchen /Mansarovar Lake/Hor Chyu
From Zutulphuk to Darche , the vehicles will be awaiting to take us to the camping place, the bank of Lake Mansarovar called Hor Chyu. Overnight stay at Hor Chyu.
Day 21 :
Hor Chyu/Paryang:
Lake Manasarovar is one of the holiest lakes located in Tibet. Brahmaputra, Sutlej Ganga and Indus river is originated with this Lake. We shall drive back to Paryang from Hor Chyu for overnight stay.
Day 22 :
Paryang/ Saga:
Crossing with astonishing valleys, fresh watered rivers from mountain, amazing yaks and sheep grazing pasturages, nomads, traders, we continue our tour towards Saga.
Day 23 :
Saga/Nyalam
Next morning, we will leave for Friendship Bridge Nepal/China border from Saga via Nyalam. After Immigration dealings, we move forward our journey to Kathmandu by a tourist bus. The route bus passes way through Dolalghat, Dhulikhel, Banepa entering into the valley of Bhaktapur and arriving in Kathmandu. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day 24 :

Departure
Drop guests at the airport for final departure check-in further boarding on the aircraft. Our tour completes with dropping guests at hotel.
